Course description
Suited for beginners, experienced artists, and professionals — with individualized and progressive plan for multiple courses available
In this 8-week course, students will learn the fundamentals of drawing and painting by working on exercises based on our 3-year academic program under the guidance of Florence Academy faculty members.
Course outline:
Classes follow a weekly schedule focusing on Master Studies, Academic Excercises, Still Life, Portraiture and Figure Studies. The individual exercises will be tailored to each student, which means beginners and advanced students alike can participate. Students will learn how draw and paint from direct observation.
The workshop is an immersive experience into the Florence Academy environment and students are invited to participate in school activities outside of the 8-week curricullum. During the Academic Year (October -June) this includes weekly evening classes offered to our full-time students; figure drawing, art history lectures, anatomy class. There is at least one guided visit to the Gothenburg Museum of Art planned per 8-week.
