Learn to depict the face you are most familiar with: your own! In this one-day workshop students will learn how to draw or paint a self-portrait from direct observation in a mirror. American artist Michael DeVore will work alongside the students in order to demonstrate techniques and illustrate concepts. He will go around to everyone individually to give feedback and advice as they work on their own self-portraits.
Instruction available in English and Swedish.
Students need to bring their own surface to draw or paint on. For drawings a large piece of paper at least 30×40 cm in size is needed. Canson Mi Teintes cream or grey colored paper is recommended. For painting we recommend a linen canvas at least 30×40 cm in size. Paints, brushes, palettes, etc. will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own oil painting supplies.
