There are so many art teachers out there, all doing the very important job of introducing young people to drawing and painting. Many of us can tell stories about someone from our past who made a difference – sometimes we can credit that we are painters at all to a single person. Often this person is an art teacher from our school days.
It is therefore with great pleasure we announce our Thank An Art Teacher scholarship. This scholarship includes tuition for a one week course during our Spring Session (March 16 – April 6). The scholarship will be awarded to three Art Teachers currently living and working in Sweden. Also included in the scholarship is a dinner at a restaurant in Gothenburg together with the other two awardees, and instructors and staff from Florence Academy of Art / Sweden.
Who is eligible for nomination?
Anyone who lives in Sweden and works as an Art Teacher in Elementary School or High School.
You can nominate yourself or someone you know who is deserving of this scholarship by filling out the form below. Please indicate the desired course and write briefly the reason for the nomination.
We will be considering nominees as we receive them so don’t wait until the last day to send in. Placement in a desired workshop course will depend on availability of spots at the time the nomination is received.
The scholarship covers:
– Tuition fee for one week of workshop during the Spring Session at FAA/Sweden (see course descriptions and dates here).
– A dinner together with the awardees of the Thank An Art Teacher scholarship, as well as instructors and staff from The Florence Academy of Art / Sweden.
The scholarship does not cover:
– Travel to and from the workshop
– Housing during the workshop
